On Thrusday, the makers of Sweetiee Weds NRI launched the trailer of the film in Mumbai. Film’s leading pair Himansh Kohli and Zoya Afroz attended the trailer launch and During the media interaction, Zoya revealed that her character in the film (Swwtiee) is little crack and she always likes to dominate her love Aakash Patel which played by Himansh Kohli.
Zoya, who made her debut with Himesh Reshmiyya’s Xpose, taking about the experience working in film and her character said, “I had lot of fun on the film set. It was lovely working with entire cast and crew of the film. My character in the film little crack and over the top which is exactly opposite of me. She has onion on everything and she always likes to dominate Aakash (Himansh) in the entire film. She doesn’t want anything in her life apart from doing her own wedding so it was nice opportunity to me to do such kind of character in the early stage of my career and in future also I would like to do good films”.
Himansh Said, “Sweetiee Weds NRI is pure family entertainer. It’s been a roller coaster journey working in this film but when you see end result it gives you satisfaction as an actor and I am really hopeful that audience will be able to connect with this film as it has romance, drama, comedy and beautiful songs”.
Sweetiee Weds NRI is an Indian romantic comedy movie. It is the story of a happy go lucky Gujarati girl Sweetiee Desai, who loves a local guy Aakash Patel. But her father Bhoolabhai Desai wants her to marry with an NRI from England only.
Along with Himansh & Zoya in lead roles, it stars Darshan Jariwala, Kiran Juneja and Babloo Mukherji in supporting roles. It is directed by Hasnain Hyderabadwala and written by Tariq Mohammad.
It is jointly produced by Dhaval Patel, Sada S Bhuvad, Cyrus F. Dastur and Tariq Mohammad under the banners Asmiy Entertainment and Grand Motion Pictures.
Sweetiee Weds NRI is all set to release on 2nd June 2017 opposite to Rajkummar Rao & Shruti Haasan’s Behen Hogi Teri and Huma Qureshi & Saqib Saleem’s Dobaara.
