Keeping up with character poster unveiling, Ranveer Singh drops yet another team player’s poster from star-studded Indian cricket team of 83, this time around its Dhariya Karwa as the most flamboyant cricketer Ravi Shastri.

Ravishankar Shastri is the Indian cricket coach, former commentator, cricketer and current head coach of the Indian national cricket team. As a player, he played for the India national cricket team between 1981 and 1992 in both Tests and ODIs. Although he started his career as a left arm spin bowler, he later transformed into a batting all-rounder.

Kabir Khan directorial 83’ narrates Kapil Dev's journey of life as well as how he became the captain of the India national cricket team and won the 1983 Cricket World Cup.

The film stars Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Saqib Saleem, Ammy Virk, Amrita Puri, Pankaj Tripathi, Boman Irani, Tamil actor Jiiva and Sahil Khattar.

The film is jointly produced by Khan, Vishnu Vardhan Induri, Madhu Mantena, Deepika Padukone and Sajid Nadiadwala. The film will be theatrically released in India on 10 April 2020, along with dubbed versions in Tamil and Telugu languages.
