Rani Mukherjee will be seen on big screens very soon in her upcoming movie Mardaani. In the film Rani will be playing a tough cop who will be seen searching clues & bashing up the bad guys. The actress who was present at the release of Mardaani’s Anthem, did point out that it’s important for girls to learn martial arts for their own safety as a self defense. Rani also started that it should be made compulsory in schools so that they can learn it from young age.
Rani said, "There is a need for women power to come forward in all the fields.... Girl students, who are symbolic of shakti, should be given martial arts training besides their regular studies so that they can protect their pride and honour"
''I feel that every girl who is born in the house should be first sent for martial arts training. She can learn singing and dancing later, but martial arts training is something that every girl should have.'' Rani added.
The film is directed by Pradeep Sarkar & produced by Rani’s husband Aditya Chopra. The film will release under Yash Raj banner. The film is slated for release on august 22.
