The post-production of JA Entertainment and Rising Sun Films’ Madras Café is underway in Mumbai. Madras Cafe is an upcoming Indian political thriller directed by Shoojit Sircar. The main role of an Indian intelligence agent in the film is played by John Abraham, while Nargis Fakhri (first and last seen in Imtiaz Ali’s Rockstar), who is the female lead plays an international reporter. The film also deals with the subject of terrorism, and will be shot in Sri Lanka, South India and Delhi.   

Director Shoojit Sicar’s last film was Vicky Donor in which John Abraham also played a part but behind the scenes. John had produced the film and also shot for a promotional song. The film had launched two young aspiring and talented actors Ayushmann Khurrana and Yaami Gautam in the main lead. Both the actors won the best debut award this year for Vicky Donor.
