Kirti Kulhari- Happy And Excited For Dadasaheb Phalke Award

“I am really excited and happy” says Kirti Kulhari on Bagging Prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award for her movie Pink.

Shoojit Sircar produced Pink released in 2016, the film starred Amitabh Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari, Angad Bedi, Andrea Tariang, Piyush Mishra, and Dhritiman Chatterjee in the lead roles. 

The film was appreciated by both the audience and the critics, and garnered the National Film Award for Best Film on Other Social Issues. Now Actress Kirti Kulhari bagged the “Outstanding performance” Award for her portrayal of Falak Ali. 

“Pink has been a different experience for me and being acknowledged for it, indeed is a big deal for me. I am very thankful to Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence awards team for considering me the honour” added Kirti. 

2016 has been a big year for Kirti Kulhari, as Pink fetched her name, fame and fortune. The actress also got married to Sahil Sehgal in a private ceremony in Bhutan.

Kirti Kulhari chose a Saree for such a big occasion, which her mother-in-law gifted her, she said, “It is not a designer outfit. I am wearing a Saree, which is given by my mother in law” 

Next Kirti Kulhari will be seen in political drama, Indu Sarkar, which is helmed by Madhur Bhandarkar. 

The movie will be based on a 21-month long period from 1975 to 1977, when Prime Minister Indira Gandhi unilaterally had a state of emergency declared across the country. The flick is slated to release mid 2017.
