Kangna has been signed on in a film tentatively titled Nikita Pai. Produced by Viki Rajani, the film will be directed by Pawan Kriplani and is written by Rahul and Vivek Kumar.

Kangna will feature in a role of a science teacher who also moonlights as an amateur detective exposing supernatural crimes. Inspired by the crime novels Sherlock Holmes and Nancy Drew, the film will have Kangana playing a strong female centric lead. The film is set to go on the floors next year in May. The film will be mostly shot in Kerala.
