Jiah Khan, the Nishabd actress was found hanging on 3rd June at her Juhu residence. A week later, on June 10, her boyfriend Sooraj Pancholi was arrested on charges of abetting her suicide. Sooraj, son of actors Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab, was July 1 granted bail by the high court.

Jiah's mother Rabia, has filed a petition in the Bombay High Court alleging her daughter could have been "murdered". Rabia has further sought a CBI inquiry into the case..

Rabiya feels that the investigation was not done properly. And so, she filed a fresh petition in the Bombay High Court alleging that her daughter could have been murdered and seeks CBI enquiry for the same.
