Speaking during an interactive session at a film festival, screenwriter and film director Sudhir Mishra showed his frustration over India’s Censor Board. The director says that kids are allowed to watch violence but not love scenes. The director says he was troubled getting clearance for few of his films from censor board just because they had intimate scenes.
“Kids are allowed to watch violence but not intimate scenes because such scenes are 'adult' in nature. How does any of this make sense? My film ('Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi') was called an adult film by the censors. I believe, even school children should be made to see critically acclaimed films like these, because there is so much to learn about an age,” the director said.
