
Actor Rajkummar Rao attended Reebok ‘Fit To Fight’ Awards 2017 on Thursday in Mumbai. During media interaction, Rajkummar revealed that he will start shooting his upcoming untitled horror comedy film with Shraddha Kapoor from January end next year.
Rajkummar Rao first time collaborating with Shraddha Kapoor for a horror comedy film, sharing details about the film, Rajkummar said, “I am not supposed to talk about it much but it’s a horror comedy. It’s one of its kind. I really liked the script and that’s the reason Shraddha and I said yes to it.”
“We are going to start shooting of that film from January end next year and I am hopeful that it’s going to be lot of fun. I have done horror film earlier but its first time I doing a horror comedy. As far as preparation is concerned, it’s still time there because right now I am shooting for ‘Fanney Khan’ and my whole energy is focused towards ‘Fanney Khan’
Talking about Reebok’s Fit To Fight Awards 2017, Rajkummar said, “It’s a great initiative. I always feel glad when people honour women and there are some very powerful and wonderful women that we are celebrating tonight”
Talking about his own ‘fight’ in the industry, he said, “When I entered into acting that time first two years, I really had to fight a lot to get that first film since then the journey has been quite smooth”
Talking about his other upcoming projects, Rajkummar said, “I am shooting for ‘Fanney Khan’ right now and then there is another film with Hansal Mehta named ‘Omerta’ so that also will be releasing early next year.
“As far as shooting of ‘Fanney Khan’ is concerned, it is shaping up really well. We were shooting for it when it was crazily raining because we had to finish our schedule. Anil (Kapoor) sir and Aishwarya (Rai), both these people are amazing and really talented so I am having great time shooting for the film”
Recently, Rajkummar Rao won the Best Actor award at the Asia Pacific Screen Awards for his performance in Newton, talking about receiving prestigious award, he said, “It’s a great feeling when somebody like your work and effort and it really inspires me to work harder”
Rajkummar Rao’s untitled horror comedy with Shraddha Kapoor to be backed by Maddock Films and it is directed by Raj and DK, known for movies like Shor in the City, Go Goa Gone, Happy Ending and A Gentleman.
