Filmmaker Suresh Trivani says Vidya Balan and Shefali Shah bombarded him with so many questions during Jalsa that he thought he made a mistake penning the script but was amazed by their involvement in the film.
Suresh Triveni along with Vidya Balan and Shefali Shah was interacting with NewsHelpline at the trailer launch of Jalsa in Mumbai.
Investigative thriller Jalsa is co-written and directed by Suresh Triveni, who earlier collaborated with Vidya Balan on Tummhari Sulu. When asked about working with two strong female actresses, Triveni said, “I’d worked with Vidya Balan on Tumhari Sulu and now with Jalsa, I’d working with her has become more additive over time. Now, ever since we started shooting, these two ladies Vidya Balan and Shefali Shah had nothing, but questions. Throughout the shoot, I was surrounded by question marks”
“Both are question banks. It’s like you have made a mistake by writing a script; the number of questions they throw at me and my team, it’s incredible, but the best part about working with them is the amount of involvement. It was an absolute pleasure to work with both of them" added Suresh.
The film is jointly produced by T-series Abundantia Entertainment. The film features a stellar ensemble of actors like Manav Kaul, Rohini Hattangadi, Iqbal Khan, Vidhatri Bandi, Shrikant Mohan Yadav, Shafeen Patel, and Surya Kasibhatla.
The movie is set to premiere on March 18 on Amazon Prime.
