Bollywood celebrities such as Hansal Mehta and Swara Bhasker rejoice as Delhi has elected Aam Adami Party leader Arvind Kerjiwal with maximum of votes in current elections.

In a tough neck to neck competition, Arvind Kerjiwal led Aam Adami Party have swept the Delhi and will form the government soon.

Filmmaker Hansal Mehta who has vocal about his displeasure for current regime, just took to his social media profile and congratulate Arvind Kerjiwal and Congress. He tweeted, “Just the thought that there could be an alternative is reason for joy. For 6 years we have been living in the fear that there is no way out of this hatred, vendetta and polarisation. Both Congress and AAP give me hope. One because of its decimation and other because of its win”

Actress Swara Bhasker who has attracted a lot of backlashes and heat from current regime for her support of Aam Adami Party, also congratulated Kejriwal over his unprecedented win.

She wrote, “Huge CONGRATULATIONS to You @ArvindKejriwal @msisodia @AtishiAAP @raghav_chadha @dilipkpandey @KhanAmanatullah and all other victorious Candidates and team of @AamAadmiParty #KaamKiRajneeti”

Aam Adami Party bagged 62 seats with BJP tailing with only 8, and others didn’t win a single seat. Delhi public has spoken and they want Kejriwal as their third Chief Minister in row.

Meanwhile on the work front, Hansal Mehta’s next directorial is Chhalaang, which is a social black comedy film starring Rajkummar Rao and Nushrat Bharucha. It is produced by Ajay Devgn, Luv Ranjan, Ankur Garg and Bhushan Kumar. The plot is set in a small town of Uttar Pradesh. It is set to release on 13 March 2020 worldwide.
