
After making her debut in Subhash Ghai's film Kaanchi, Actress Mishti is all set to don on warrior avatar in forthcoming Manikarnika, says she is really excited and proud to be a part of such historic film.
Kangana Ranaut, Ankita Lokhande, Kamal Jain and Mishti were spotted at wrap-up Christmas celebration party thrown by designer Neeta Lulla here in Mumbai.
During her media interaction, Mishti talked about the film, she said, “I am really excited as Rani Laxmi Bai is an important figure in our history. She has a huge contribution to our nation’s struggle for Independence, and to be a part of this film, I am really feeling proud. And I am just hoping for the best”
Mishti also added that it was thrilling to work in such a film. She said, “It was a fantastic experience, it was thrilling. It felt like we went back in time, and living the era of Rani Laxmi Bai, whom we have been reading since childhood. Everyone is so engrossed in their character during a historical film; it feels like you’ve gone back to that era”
Talking about her role in the film, she said, “I am playing the role of Kashi Bai, she was the emotional anchor for Rani Laxmi Bai. She was a sister and a best friend. Laxmi Bai could trust her with her life and she is also the solider in the army”
Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is an upcoming historical biographical film based on the life of Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi. The film is co-directed by Krish and Kangana Ranaut and produced by Zee Studios in association with Kamal Jain and Nishant Pitti.
The film stars Kangana Ranaut in the title role of Rani Laxmi Bai, who led the war against the British East India Company, during the Indian Rebellion of 1857.
The film also stars an incredible ensemble of Jisshu Sengupta, Richard Keep, Suresh Oberoi, Danny Denzongpa, Vaibhav Tatwawaadi, Ankita Lokhande, Yash Tonk, R. Bhakti Klein, Mishti, Unnati Davara and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub in pivotal roles.
The film releases on 25th Jan 2019.
