Due to Coronavirus Film Industry Is Facing Having Losses, Says Bhushan Kumar.

Shabnam Sayyed | March, 13 2020

Producer, Chairman and Managing Director of T - Series is considered as one of the Bollywood’s leading and young producers. The producer who has constantly grown his company from strength to strength expressed that due to the coronavirus film Industry is facing heavy losses. Because many theatres have been shut down in Delhi and many films release date has been postponed.

Bhushan Kumar was seen interacting with the media on Thursday in Mumbai at the success party of the movie ‘Malang’.

When asked about the impact of coronavirus on the film industry on this Bhushan said, “It’s a natural calamity and many people around the globe are getting affected to it. Everyone is in a state of panic because no one knows what is going to happen next. But yes, the Film Industry is facing losses. Even in Delhi cinema halls have been shut down till 31st March.  And it’s obvious because safety comes first.

Unfortunately, even the release date of the film ‘Sooryavanshi’ and ‘83’ has been postponed on the basis of safety. Hence, I want to say that it’s a natural calamity, we can’t do anything in it. Because to get out of this situation it will take time. So, there is no certainty when we will release the films. There are many films which have been pushed ahead, so right now it’s impossible to decide anything. We have to just wait and watch,” added Bhushan.

As a producer there are many films in his kitty like Satyameva Jayate 2, Bhuj: The Pride Of India, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Madam Chief Minister, Mumbai Saga, Navy Day, Jhund, Ludo. All the films are scheduled to release in the year 2020.
