When Ranveer Singh's first look from the film '83' was released, everyone was in for a big surprise as the actor aced the look. Since then film '83 has become one of the most anticipated films. But owing to Covid, the film release has been getting delayed. Finally the film has a theatrical release date. Kabir Khan's film '83 will release in the theatres on Christmas 2021.

Sharing the news, Deepika Padukone who is also an integral part of the film shared the news and wrote, "The Team that took the entire world by storm! Experience the glorious victory of Team 83 in Cinemas this Christmas! Releasing in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada & Malayalam! #Thisis83"

Film '83' is a sports drama film directed by Kabir Khan. The film will focus on the country's incredible cricket World Cup victory in 1983.  Film stars Ranveer Singh as cricketer Kapil Dev. It also features Deepika Padukone, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Ammy Virk, Harrdy Sandhu, Jiiva, Pankaj Tripathi, Boman Irani, Sahil Khattar, Nishant Dahiya and Amrita Puri.

The film release was getting postponed again and again owing to Covid restrictions. Finally the film is coming to the theatres this Christmas in five languages. It will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.

On the work front, Ranveer Singh will also be seen in Jayeshbhai Jordaar which stars Shalini Pandey, Boman Irani and Ratna Pathak Shah. The film will be released on 25th February, 2022. The film is directed by Divyang Thakkar.

He will also be seen in Rohit Shetty's Cirkus which also stars Jacqueline Fernandes and Pooja Hegde. He will be playing a double role in the film.
