Ufff! Finally after a long speculation the lead cast for Karan Johar’s much-in-talks dream project ‘Shuddhi’ is been  finalized.

As the filmmaker has roped in ‘Student Of The Year’ actors Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt for the lead  roles in the film.

It’s been over a year since ‘Shuddhi ‘   has  been in talks amongst Bollywood buffs following its lead cast, as there were constant reports  regarding the film’s lead cast.

At the very start Karan and his team had roped in  Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor for the lead characters, but due to some prior work commitments  both the actors walked out from the same.

The same happened again when the makers approached Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, as Ranveer and Deepika walked out from the film following date clash of ‘Shuddhi’  and their film ‘Bajirao Mastani’.

Later on Salman was signed for the film, but  following his pending hit-and-run case in court, the superstar walked out of the film.

However, Salman is happy that Karan has roped in Varun in lead.

As the superstar yesterday took on twitter to congratulate the young actor, as Salman Tweeted, "Kamaal karte ho Varun Dhawan...made ur dad n me so proud of u... happy Shuddhi”

To which Varun in return thanked Salman, as Varun tweeted, “Thank you Bhai @BeingSalmanKhan I promise to make you proud #shuddhi”

Talking about ‘Shuddhi’, the film will be directed by Karan Malhotra and will be produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
