Coming from the filmi environment is not a pressure but responsibility - Vardhan Puri.
Vardhan Puri, the paternal grandson of the veteran bollywood actor Amrish Puri says that, coming from the filmi environment is not a pressure but responsibility.
Vardhan Puri along with Shivaleeka Oberoi and Director Cherag Ruparrel was addressing media at Mithibai college Kshitij festival on Wednesday in Mumbai.
Prior to making his acting debut, Vardhan was a theatre artist. His grandfather Amrish Puri was the legendary actor who is best remembered as Mogambo of Mr. India.
When Vardhan was asked if the cinematic background pressurizes him, Vardhan commented, ”I am blessed as grandson of Amrish Puri. His works are noteworthy. Coming from the filmi environment is not a pressure but responsibility. Pressure is the negative word that exist for me. I want to create a good mark in the industry by choosing a right script. I have to live up to their expectations.”
The film was originally titled ‘Paagal’ but was renamed after a CBFC objection. The trailer of Vardhan Puri and Shivaleeka Oberoi’s film ‘Yeh Saali Aashiqui’ was released few days ago, and got a blissful response. The story ‘Ye saali Ashiqui’ is different from the other love story, as it gives a very jolting message to the youth. The story is inspired from director Cherag Ruparrel's personal experiences.
Further discussing more about the expectations from the movie, Vardhan said, “We are not mathematicians, we are artist. Our expectations is only love from people and not the numbers. I am more excited than nervous. I assure you that every youth of our country will definitely get connected with the movie, the music and the characters. The movie talks about the fine differences between love and attraction.”
Yeh Saali Aashiqui is a romantic thriller directed by Cherag Ruparel and produced by Dr. Jayantilal Gada (Pen India Limited) & Amrish Puri Films. The film stars debutantes Vardhan Puri and Shivaleeka Oberoi. It is scheduled to be release on 29 November 2019.
