
Actress Deepika Padukone attended the Volare Awards on Friday. During her media interaction, Deepika said that receiving such awards reinstate her love for cinema.
Deepika Padukone expressed that the Padmaavat Team hasn’t had the time to celebrate the film success, “To be very honest there hasn’t been any time to celebrate the success of Padmaavat because there is so much happening right now. Of course, it is time for celebration, and it is awards like these that remind me why I am in this business of making films because cinema is such a powerful medium; it spreads love, bring people together and awards like these really reinstate that” added Deepika.
Deepika donned a red and white colored saree by Sabyasachi and teamed it with a contrast black blouse.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali directed Padmaavat, starring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, and Shahid Kapoor is making steady progress at the box-office and the lead actress expressed that it is a testament.
“As far as my film is concerned, I had said this before, that there is no stopping it. The film deserves all the blessing and love that we’re getting and box-office numbers are once again the testament of that, and it is not over” added Deepika.
Valentine’s Day is around the corner and buzz is that Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone will be heading to some exotic place celebrate the day but unfortunately, the actress confirmed that she will be working.
“As far as Valentine’s Day or Chocolate Day, are concerned for me, I think every day should be celebrated, and I will be prepping for my next film” added Deepika.
Next Deepika Padukone will be seen in a biopic on Sapna Didi- a feared Mumbai mafia queen of the '80s with Irrfan Khan. The movie will be helmed by Vishal Bhardwaj.
