Either the subject chosen were not interesting or their performance but in case of Sridevi, both the subject of her film English Vinglish and her performance in it touched the hearts of her fans. Its premier itself saw some prominent personalities leaving theatres with tearful eyes.

After such a successful comeback Sridevi has been flooded with film offers. But his husband and producer Boney Kapoor has been very cautious about her signing any film. He has advised Sridevi to not to go on film signing spree. Apparently, Boney is planning a film with Gauri Shinde again. Having a successful producer as husband is definitely a boon for an actress especially when it is her second innings.
