Anushka Sharma On Nepotism and Padmavati Incident

Ravi Sharma | March, 16 2017

“Damaging someone’s properly is Unacceptable” says actress Anushka Sharma reacting to recent Padmavati vandalism incident.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali helmed Padmavati ran into another road-block post Karni Sena fiasco in Jaipur, the sets of the film were set on fire, though on one was hurt, but this incident has been condemned by entire industry.

Now Anushka Sharma voiced her feelings about the whole incident.

“Damaging any set is unacceptable. And no sensible person, not just the film industry, I mean anyone, film industry person or commoner, causing that kind of damage to somebody’s personal property is not acceptable” says Anushka on the sidelines of Phillauri promotion.

Anushka Sharma hails from a non-filmy background and says she has never experienced any “nepotism” in industry, expressing her opinion on Karan Johar and Kangana Ranaut tussle.

“We all have our own journeys, our journeys and experiences are different. I was launched by Yash Raj Films. Aditya Chopra launched me. I was an outsider and he still launched me a huge film. Similarly he launched Ranveer Singh, Parineeti Chopra and me, and we are outsiders. I have never experienced such a thing. My life changed after Band Bajaa Baraat, and I learned one thing, if you’re doing good work people would love to work with you, and if you’re not, come what may, no one would like to work with you” adds Anuskha.

Phillauri is an upcoming romantic comedy film directed by Anshai Lal and produced by Anushka Sharma and Karnesh Sharma under the banner of Fox Star Studios and Clean Slate Films.

The film also stars Diljit Dosanjh and Suraj Sharma in the lead roles. The film is scheduled for release on March 24, 2017.
