
Anupam Kher made his acting debut in the 1982 Hindi movie Aagman. Then in 1984 came Saaransh, where 28-year-old Kher played a retired middle-class Maharashtrian man who has lost his son. And now after decades in the film Industry, the veteran actor has wrapped a shooting schedule for his 511th film.
Anupam Kher just wrapped a shoot for his 511th film and excited actor took to his social media account and shared candid pictures from the shoot.
He captioned it, “As I finish this schedule of my untitled 511th film, I thank the people, the administration, the Rana family and the security people of 'Ranchi' for their love, warmth and hospitality. As always it was a pleasure shooting at the various locations in Jharkhand"
Kher has mainly worked in Hindi films, but he has also appeared in acclaimed international films such as the 2002 Golden Globe-nominated Bend It Like Beckham, and David O. Russell's 2013 Oscar-winning Silver Linings Playbook.
Kher has won the Filmfare Award for Best Performance in a Comic Role five times. For his performance in the 1988 film Vijay, he won the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor.
The Government of India honored him with the Padma Shri in 2004 and the Padma Bhushan in 2016 for his contribution in the field of cinema and arts.
Next Anupam Kher will be seen in Hotel Mumbai, Aiyaary and The Accidental Prime Minister, all slated for 2018 releases.
