Filmmaker and writer Anubhav Sinha revealed that he has quit smoking since last one year on social media on Thursday. He added that he is really happy that has given up smoking and urged people not to fall prey to the addiction.

Sharing the picture on his Instagram handle, Sinha wrote, “Mar/Apr 2019. On set Article15. Photo by @kaamodkharade I am so happy I kicked this bad habit. Not even a year yet but still. No one should smoke. No one. Roughly 8 to 10 thousand cigarettes that I have NOT smoked in roughly a year. Thanks for the calculation @vipin.sta”.

In the picture, Sinha can be seen smoking a cigarette on the set of his film ‘Article 15’.

Sinha’s friends from the film industry such as Taapsee Pannu, Richa Chadha and his followers welcomed his decision in the comment section.

Anubhav Sinha has directed film such as ‘Tum Bin’, ‘Dus’, ‘Cash’, ‘Ra. One’, ‘Tum Bin 2’, ‘Mulk’, ‘Article 15’ and ‘Thappad’ in his career.

Recently, Sinha garnered praise for directing the peppy Bhojpuri track ‘Bambai Main Ka Ba’ which featured Manoj Bajpayee.

Anubhav Sinha’s upcoming satirical political drama film ‘Abhi Toh Party Shuru Hui Hai’ features Divya Dutta, Pankaj Tripathi, Richa Chadha, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Prateik Babbar, Manoj Pahwa, Kumud Mishra, Vinay Pathak, Saurabh Shukla and Dilip Prabhavalkar in important roles.
