Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt will be seen sharing screen space for the first time in musical drama Gully Boy, the movie is directed by Zoya Akhtar and now the first look and release date of the film is out.

Actor Ranveer Singh also confirmed and shared the release date and poster. He wrote, “14th February 2019 #gullyboy”

In the poster, Ranveer Singh is seen donning the typical rapper boy avatar, who is lost in his own thoughts but Alia Bhatt, it appears will be seen playing the role of a Muslim girl, as she seems wearing a head covered outfit. The duo looks refreshing and kind of cool in their new avatars.

Gully Boy is an upcoming musical drama film directed by Zoya Akhtar. It stars Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in lead roles. It is being co-produced by Akhtar's Tiger Baby and Excel Entertainment productions.

The film is based on the lives of street rappers such as Divine (rapper) and Naezy known for their song "Mere Gully Mein" in Mumbai.

The movie also stars an impressive ensemble of Kalki Koechlin, Akanksha Puri, Parmeet Sethi, Ali Asghar, Sudesh Lehri, Nassar, Siddarth Jadhav and Vijay Varma in the key roles.

The music of the film will be scored by Rishi Rich and Divine. The movie is slated for 14 February 2019.
