Akshay Kumar during the shooting of his forthcoming reality show which he will be hosting took ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) ice bucket challenge.  In past couple of days various Bollywood celebrities too had performed the challenge the likes of Sania Mirza, Ritiesh Deshmukh, Bipasha Basu, Sonakshi Sinha, Abhishek Bachchan, Daler Mehndi,Hansika Motwani, Ashish Chaudhary took the challenge & did it successfully.  It’s a challenge where the participant will be poured with bucket full of ice cold water over his\her head.  

Currently the actor is busy shooting for a reality show at Capetown, where he took this challenge. What he further did was unthinkable as he didn't get drenched by just a bucket of ice cool water. Instead, he invited 11 participants of his show around him who poured a bucket each on him Considering the fact that the temperature was just 8 degree Celsius and Akshay was out in open, the challenge turned out to be all the more tough to accomplish. The sport that he is, Akshay took it all with a smile for a good cause.


Ice Bucket Challenge has been initiated to raise awareness and funds for ALS or Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. The disease is a neurodegenerative disease in which the body's use of muscles shuts down, ending in the effective immobility and eventually leading to paralysis. part of challenge, a person is supposed to dump a bucket of ice-cold water on one's head or donate 100 dollars for charity within 24 hours. They also challenge three more people.
