Kiran Rao who started her career in the film industry in direction department long ago, While Kiran has worked as an assistant director with, filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker in ‘Lagaan’, acting is far away from her mind. After getting married to Aamir Khan, Kiron Rao directed her first film Dhobhi Ghat and she continue to enjoy her piece of work behind the camera, While Kiron has no aspirations of becoming an actress, offers for Bollywood roles keep on pouring for Kiran Rao, wife of Bollywood actor Aamir Khan. 
 
If sources are to be believed recently, director Rajkumar Hirani dropped in an offer, to Kiran, for essaying a pivotal character in his upcoming movie, ‘Peekay’, which also stars Aamir Khan.
Although, initially, Kiran was keen to give the role, a try, after being given a narration by Rajkumar Hirani, even agreeing to audition for the character, later on, she is said to have developed cold feet.  Aamir too, was keen on his wife taking up the role, which was that of a, nautch girl.


Earlier, at the time of ‘Dhobi Ghat’, which was directed by Kiran Rao, Aamir had insisted his wife to simultaneously take up a role in the movie. However, that time too, his suggestion was turned down, as Kiran was not confident about being able to handle two jobs at a time, since it was her debut movie. As of now, Kiran is happy tending to Aamir and their son, Azad Rao Khan, leaving the acting responsibilities to her husband.
