Will start shooting for ‘Jijaji Chhat Per Hain Returns’ very soon says Feroz Khan

Actor Firoz Khan, who is known for playing a character named Chatanki Mama in a popular television series ‘Jijaji Chhat Per Hain’, has revealed that makers of the show are to start shooting of the very soon as the show was stalled during nationwide lockdown. He also added saying that he feels happy to be part of the show as it has given him different identity among the audience.

Firoz Khan was interacting with News Helpline in Mumbai.

Khan said that he is soon going to start shooting for his popular show, he said, “During lockdown, we stopped shooting the show but now we will start shooting for ‘Jijaji Chhat Per Hain Returns’. The set of the show is being made in Mira Road, so I am feeling happy about it. I was getting offers from other production houses as well but Edit II Productions (makers of Jijaji Chhat Per Hain) have given me so much that I don’t want to leave them. I am really thankful to Shashank Bali (director) who believed in me because you often see that lookalike or mimicry artists don’t get their due in the industry but I feel that they also have a heart and talent and it's about giving an opportunity to the person.”

In ‘Jijaji Chhat Per Hain’, which airs on SAB TV, Khan plays the role of Chatanki who is Karuna's (Soma Rathod) criminal brother. He is often arrested because of his illegal activities. Murari (Anup Upadhyay) hates Chatanki because of his antics and never spares a chance to roast him.

Talking about his experience working in ‘Jijaji Chhat Per Hain’, Khan said, “Edit II Productions (makers of Jijaji Chhat Per Hain) give a lot of respect to their actors unlike other production houses with whom I have worked in the past. They give complete freedom to actors while shooting the scenes. I feel if you give love and respect to the actors then they give their best effort and that’s what is the best part of this show. Earlier people didn’t give much opportunity but this show gave me a chance to prove my worth as an actor. Earlier I used to do mimicry of Amitabh Bachchan ji but this show gave me a different identity among the audience.”

During the interview, Khan said that he is a huge fan of Amitabh Bachchan since his childhood, so he came to meet Bachchan from his hometown but to sustain in Mumbai; he started doing stage shows where he used to do mimicry of ‘Zanjeer’ actor and that he gave him recognition and a chance to work in television serials. 

When asked Khan whether he wants to work in films, he said, “If I get the opportunity to work in films then I would definitely want to explore that medium as well. I would like to play the role of a villain in films because I feel that I have the ability to pull off those roles. It’s not about breaking an image of a comic actor; I want to do varied kinds of roles in my career. I am hoping that I will get an opportunity to do those kinds of roles.”
