Actress Shilpa Shetty is not interested in playing a role of a Goddess.
 
The actress who was interacting with media on the occasion of ‘Ganesh Chaturthi’ festival, was asked if she is keen to play a mythological character. Shilpa denied by saying that she would never enact the role of a goddess onscreen.
 
Currently, the ‘Baazigar’ star is busy in judging a reality dance show ‘Super Dancer’ and she invited the contestants of the show to celebrate the ‘Visarjan’ (Immersion) of Ganeshji.
 
Shilpa who stressed on the idea to celebrate the festival in an eco-friendly, said, “I brought eco-friendly Ganpati idol which is really hard to maintain. Those who made the idols said to me that it was risky. But I decided it is better to take a risk than harming Mother Nature. Devotion and respect should be in our heart. I request all to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi in an eco-friendly way.”
 
It is Shilpa’s second year of celebrating the festival. The actress said, “In future, I am planning to have a Ganapati made of silver at my house so that I can immerse him in a bucket and celebrate with the same idol next year to avoid pollution of the environment.”
 
Regarding the Cleanliness issue, recently National Award winning actress Kangana Ranaut played goddess Laxmi in an interesting idea to support Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s flagship project ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan’.
 
Titled ‘Don’t Let Her Go’, the short film sees Kangana Ranaut  as goddess Laxmi who disappears whenever anyone litters.
The film is directed by Pradeep Sarkar and also features actors Isha Koppikar, Omkar Kapoor, and Ravi Kishan along with the megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s voice-over at the end.
 
At the launch of the short film, the Queen actor explained how cleanliness changed her life. The actress revealed that she studied Vedanta and followed Swami Vivekananda. She learnt how to uplift herself, her energies and make changes by exercising cleanliness.
 
Well, both actresses support the ‘Cleanliness’ in their way.
