“If people thought Salman Khan looked different in Bajrangi Bhaijaan, wait till you watch Tubelight, he is much different in this film” says Director Kabir Khan on the sidelines of premiere here in Mumbai.
Kabir Khan possesses a unique eye to see Salman Khan in never before seen avatars, starting from Ek Tha Tiger, followed by Bajrangi Bhaijaan and now Tubelight, which happens to be a “physically challenging” film.
“I do a lot of outdoor shooting. This time I went to Ladakh Mountain Range, I shot major part there, so I think this must be been physically the most challenging shoot” adds Kabir Khan.
Kabir Khan and Salman Khan’s collaboration has resulted in massive box-office hits, but director says he doesn’t consider that as pressure with Tubelight.
“I don’t take that pressure, that last movie was hit or flop. If I start taking that pressure I won’t be able to move forward. If I had taken pressure of Ek Tha Tiger than I would made second movie like Ek Tha Tiger, I made Bajrangi Bhaijaan, so I don’t take that pressure. I am making a movie, if people like it, it will do good business, if not it will make less money” adds Kabir Khan.
Tubelight is a historical war drama film written, and directed by Kabir Khan. The film is produced by Salman Khan and Kabir Khan.
Set in the 1962 Sino-Indian War, it stars Salman Khan in the lead role, who plays a man from India who falls in love with a girl from China.
The movie is slated for Eid 2017 Release.
