Rishi Kapoor is resentful over the fact that Shammi Kapoor never got any government recognition, while he was alive and nothing when he moved on to the next life.

Rishi Kapoor took to micro-blogging site and posted, “Ponder. My only resentment is that Shammi Kapoor never got recognised by the government in his lifetime. Posthumously would be great but...”

This came right after, Shashi Kapoor was honoured with Dada Saheb Pahlke Award for his contribution in Indian Cinema on Sunday at Prithvi Theater.

Shammi Kapoor’s contribution to Indian Cinema is undeniably important and actor deserves government reorganization, no one can dispute this fact.

So far Kapoor Clan have bagged three “Dadasaheb Phalke Award” - the first Prithviraj Kapoor and second Raj Kapoor and now third for Shashi Kapoor.  

The Trinity of Hindi Cinema- Kapoor brothers - Raj, Shammi and Shashi, out of two has already been honoured with government reorganization.

Shammi Kapoor created a whole new niche, which we call “Anti-Hero” and was known as “Indian Elvis Presley” he gave massive hits like ‘Kashmir Ki Kali’, ‘Teesri Manzil’ and ‘An Evening in Paris’!!

Shammi Kapoor died on August 14, 2011 due to chronic renal failure.
