Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s grand tragic love saga Mirzya will hit the screens now in October The Bhaag Milkha Bhaag director has decided to shift the date of release of his film from May 13 to October 7.
According to the source close to the film, “Rakyesh Om Prakash Mehta in his signature style for perfection had requested for a shift in the release date of Mirzya. Starring Anil Kapoor’s son Harshvardhan and Saiyami Kher in the lead roles, the film, based on the folk tale Mirza-Sahiban, explores why Sahiban betrayed Mirza and then killed herself.
Anil Kapoor also shared in his social networking site about the film’s release, “Mark your calendars!! The youngest Kapoor is all set to take center stage on #Oct7 #Mirzya! The anticipation is building!!”
The story of Mirzya has been written by poet and lyricist Gulzar, with music created and crafted by the musical trio of Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. Polish director of photography Pawel Dyllus has shot the movie, which has been edited by PS Bharathi Mehra.
Based on the folk tale ‘The legend of Mirza-Sahiban’, the film is an epic action-romance that plays out in contemporary times. The action-packed romance drama is entirely shot in the outwardly rich territory of Rajasthan and bleakness of Ladakh.
