National award winning actor Nana Patekar who has worked in some path breaking films like Parinda, Krantiveer, Natsamrat, Rajneeti and Ab Tak Chappan will now be seen in the Shekhar S Jha directed film ‘Wedding Anniversary’. This will be a first time when Nana Patekar will collaborate with Mahie Gill.

‘Wedding Anniversary’ is the film about a couple (played by Priyanshu Chatterjee and Mahie Gill) who plan to celebrate their first wedding anniversary in Goa. The story takes a hilarious turn when Mahie arrives in Goa before her husband, and Nana (playing an old eccentric writer) barges into her room late at night. Director Jha added that, even though there’s is no love angle between Nana and Mahie, but, Mahie lands up becoming Nana’s inspiration. The film was totally shot in Goa in locations like Calangute and Candolim, and also in night clubs.

Nana Patekar was last seen in Welcome Back (2015) and Mahie Gill was last seen in Gang of Ghosts (2014).

Sudhanshu Jha, who has earlier directed films like ‘Eik Dasttak’ and ‘Prem Mayee’ and Palchhin works as the Commissioner of the Income Tax department of Goa.

It is produced by V K production. The film also stars Priyanshu Chaterjee and Shreya Narayan. ‘Wedding Anniversary’ is all set to release on February 17, 2017.
