The dashing John Abraham who was last seen on big screens in ‘Madras Café’ will soon be seen on big screens in ‘Welcome Back’ which will be his first release in 2015.
The actor for his funny and lovable character in ‘Welcome Back’, was asked to lose some kilos to give complete justice to his role in the film by his director Anees Bazmee.
Talking about the same, Anees in an interview to a leading tabloid said, "’’Welcome Back’ is not an action film, it is more comedy and family-oriented like 'Welcome'. You can watch it with your family. Even the climax has got comic scenes. There are just two action sequences and the level of action that John has done in the past is missing here. Initially, when I met him for the film, John was much more beefed up as if he was all set to pick up a motorcycle and throw it on the ground like he did in his action film earlier. So I had to ask him to lose some weight and he was happy doing it,"
The director further added, "I had invited him for the 'No Entry' trial about 10 years back and he was excited watching it. I like the combination of his innocent face and macho body, it is interesting,"
Talking about ‘Welcome Back’, other than John the film also stars Shruti Hassan, Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor among others.
‘Welcome Back’, will hit big screens all over on 29th may.
