Pretty actress Radhika Apte, who was last seen on big screens here in Bollywood in ‘Shor In The City’, happens to be all busy promoting her upcoming release ‘Badlapur’. The actress  happens to be quite excited with the film, as she does feel that the film will be an image break over for her.

Radhika said, “I have done commercial movies in regional cinema but ‘Badlapur’ is my first Bollywood film after ‘Shor…’. I am hoping my image of an art house movie actress will be broken by this film. I can’t talk about my part because it is a thriller and the makers have kept it secret. But it is a very interesting character,”

Talking about her co-star Varun Dhawan, the actress stated that she did get to learn a lot from him and so did he from her. As the actress said, “We both come from different backgrounds and have been typecast in different ways. He is known as a commercial actor while I am called a serious actress, so it was great that we both came along and learnt so much from each other.”

The actress further said, “Varun and I are keen on doing all kinds of cinema. He is a passionate actor and it was amazing working with him,”

Those who didn’t know, Radhika who happens to be a very well known face in Hindi also happens to be very well known for her acting in Marathi and Bengali films. The actress stated that she he wants to do both regional and Hindi cinema.

As Radhika said, “A good film is a good film. Every movie is different irrespective of being in Marathi, Bengali or Hindi. I want to do all kinds of films but because I understand Hindi and Marathi, I would like to do films in these languages more. That preference will always be there,”

Other than ‘Badlapur’, the actress also has Ajay Devgn’s maiden International co-production ‘Parched’ and  Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Hunterr’, for release this year.

Talking about the same, the actress said, “‘Parched’ is directed by Leena Yadav. I always wanted to work with a female director so I am happy that I was a part of the film. The role I have in ‘Parched’ is different from anything I have done so far while I feel ‘Hunterr’ is going to be a very entertaining film,”

Talking about ‘Badlapur’, other than Varun and Radhika, the film also stars Yami Gautam, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Divya Dutta among others. The film is been directed by Sriram Raghavan and will hit big screens on 20th February all over.
