
Veteran filmmaker Subhash Ghai who has directed numerous blockbuster hits in Hindi film industry has all good to say for the remake of his directorial venture ‘Hero’ which released way back in 1983 which had Jackie Shroff and Meenakshi Sheshadari in lead.
The remake which is being produced by Salman Khan and directed by Nikhil Advani will have two star kids making their debut with the same. The remake which too is been named as ‘Hero’, has actor Aditya Pancholi’s son Sooraj opposite Sunil Shetty’s daughter Athiya.
Talking about the remake and his expectations from the same, Subhash in an interview said, “The film is from Nikhil Advani’s vision under the supervision of Salman (Khan). I am hoping and confident that this remake will be better than my ‘Hero’,”
The filmmaker also stated that he is not contributing from his for the remake , as he said, “When Salman asked me about the partnership for the remake of ‘Hero’, I said ‘I can give you the rights of that film. But, the vision will be yours and your director’s. Neither I will contribute to it nor I will interfere because you will make the film as today’s vision and if I will interfere in it I will put my old vision’,”
Subhash further added, “I have not even seen a single still of the film,”
Talking about the remake, apart from Sooraj and Athiya, the film also stars Govinda, Anita Hassanandani, Vinod Khanna and Kader Khan in major roles.
The film will hit big screens on 3rd July.
