Filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, who is well known for his directorial ventures like ‘Rang De Basanti’, ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ among others, has been all busy from past number of months filming, ‘Mirziya’.

The talented filmmaker who was all present at the ongoing celebrate cinema event at a leading film institute in Mumbai interacted with the media present over there.

During the interactions the filmmaker spoke about ‘Mirzya’ and newcomers Harshvardhan Kapoor (son of actor Anil Kapoor) and Saiyami Kher among others  in the same.

As Rakeysh said, “ ‘Mirziya’ is a story very close to my heart. The film is indeed a huge responsibility. It is been written by mentor Gulzar, and so are the screenplay and its lyrics. It’s very important for me to give justice to Gulzar’s work first and foremost. “

“So far it’s been very exciting to work with bunch of newcomers. ‘Mirzya’ not has just two newcomers, but it has four new comers apart from Harshvardhan and Saiyami, the film also stars Anuj and Anjali Patil. All the four actors have eqully important parts in the film. And working with youngsters in the film does evoke the very feeling of reborn in me .” added the filmmaker

The versatile filmmaker also added that the release  date of ‘Mirzya’ is not been finalized yet, but he is hoping that the film will be unveiled by May-June next year.
