Bollywood heartthrob Shahid Kapoor had a wonderful 2014, as the actor delivered a much needed hit in his career in form of Vishal Bharadwaj’s ‘Haider’ for which Shahid earned all praises and applauds from all over. The actor has been bagging major awards under Best Actor category from all award functions that have been taking place from the start of the year in Bollywood.

The actor recently wrapped up the shoot of Vikas Bahl’s ‘Shaandar’ which has Ali Bhatt opposite him in lead. The actor will soon start shooting for his next which happens to be Abhishek Chaubhey’s ‘Udta Punjab’ which also stars Shahid’s ‘Shaandar’ co-star Alia Bhatt in lead opposite him,

Other than Shahid and Alia, the film also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan in lead. The latest news happens to be, in an interview to a leading tabloid Shahid stated that it was none other than him who suggested Kareena’s name to the makers of ‘Udta Punjab’.

Shahid said he felt that Kareena suits character the best and being a versatile actress she will pull it off with ease, and so he suggested her name to the makers.

The actress also added that he has all respect for Kareena as an actress and he’s happy that Kareena is living a happy life. 

Interesting thing about 'Udta Punjab' happens to be Kareena and Shahid won't be sharing even a single scene in the film.
