After Rameshwaram in Tamil Nadu, Filmmaker and Producer Boney Kapoor immersed a part of Sridevi’s ashes in the holy Ganges in Haridwar in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday.

Boney Kapoor along with his brother Anil Kapoor, Designer Manish Malhotra and Rajya Sabha member Amar Singh, immersed the ashes in Ganga.

Boney Kapoor broke down at one point as family priests Shiv Kumar Paliwal and Manish Jaiswal performed religious rituals at the VVIP Ghat. Anil Kapoor consoled his elder brother.

The family carrying the ashes in two urns landed at the Jolly Grant airport in Uttarakhand's capital in the afternoon and then drove in a fleet of cars to Haridwar. Later, the family paid obeisance at Harihar temple at Kankhal.

The actress passed away in Dubai where she had gone to attend a family wedding with younger daughter Khushi Kapoor and husband Boney Kapoor. However, all of them left Dubai after the wedding but Sridevi decided to extend her stay. The news of her demise left everyone from fans to family members in a state of shock.

After holding a prayer meet and then the cremation in Mumbai, Boney Kapoor immersed Sridevi’s ashes in Rameshwaram along with daughters Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor. The three of them returned back to Mumbai and had a small family get-together for Janhvi’s birthday.
