Talking about his upcoming movie Ram Gopal Varma’s “Rai”, which is also a biopic of the former underworld don Muthappa Rai, the ‘Company’ star shared, “We will be starting shooting from July. I am preparing for the role now and got a week to spend with the man (Muthappa Rai) himself. Most of the time you don’t get the chance to spend moments whose biopic you are doing so it was fascinating for me to hear it all from the horse’s mouth and spend abundance time outside Bangalore with him. It was quite an experience.”
Oberoi who was last seen on screen in 2013 along with actors Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra and Kangana Ranaut in “Krrish 3” will be portraying the role of Muthappa Rai.
Based on the life of former underworld syndicate, turned philanthropist, Muthappa Rai, the biopic is written and directed by Ram Gopal Varma.
