The writer-director of Begum Jaan unveils the last and much awaited song 'Murshida' from the film.

Srijit Mukherji‏ just took to his social media account and shared the video, he wrote, “Return gift from Anu Malik, Arijit Singh and Times Music for the listeners of #BegumJaan - Murshida!:)”

The soulful song is another lovely rendition by Arijit Singh and traces the tragic ups and downs of Begum Jaan's life in the most touching way. The song has been penned beautifully by none other than Rahat Indori and composed by Anu Malik.

'Begum Jaan' is the story of a brothel owner played by Vidya Balan, who is asked to vacate her house along with her group as the India-Pakistan border will rip apart through it as a result of partition.

The movie also stars Gauahar Khan, Pallavi Sharda, Naseeruddin Shah and Chunky Pandey along with many other in pivotal roles. It is the official remake of his Bengali film 'Rajkahini' which had Rituparna Sengupta in the lead role.

'Begum Jaan' is set to hit the theatres on April 14.
