Ali Baldiwala, who played one of the four terrorists in the hugely appreciated movie ‘Neerja’ feels Sonam Kapoor is very simple kind of person and not as snooty as others think.
“Sonam is a very hardworking actress. She is a very nice person. There is a misconception about Sonam that she is fashion conscious person, snooty and have a lot of attitudes. But Sonam is not like that, she is like a ‘girl next door’. You can relate to her.” He said at an exclusive interview.
“My scenes are not many with Sonam but I used to talk to her after the shoot. I talked about interior designs, industry and other things.” Ali added.
An interior designer by profession, Ali wanted to be an actor since he was nine. As he spoke, “Doing Neerja is a very proud moment for me. It is my first film. I never expected so much success. It has been more than three weeks since its release and still going strong. Obviously, I am very happy and excited. I can’t express in words.” Ali feels Ram Madhvani is like a father for him who gave an opportunity to fulfill his wish.
“Basically, I am passionate about acting since I was nine. I told my father I wanted to be an actor. He was not ready for that. So there was always a desire in me for acting. Later I joined Anupam Kher acting classes. I appeared in a couple of auditions but this was the first movie audition” said Ali who made an appearance in an ad film with Saif Ali Khan.
Neerja was released on February 19 and the concept of the real life incident story of Neerja Bhanot is very much appreciated by the audience.
