Kalki Koechlin starrer, ‘Margarita With A Straw’, received a lot of appreciation from all over for its excellent story, Kalki’s acting, and many more things. Recently, the film bagged the award for ‘Best Feature Film’ at the Washington, DC International Film Festival.

Kalki is very pleased with the kind of response she has received for her film. Her ex-husband Anurag Kashyap had revealed that she always wanted to do a challenging role and she got it through Shonali Bose’s ‘Margarita With A Straw’.

The official page of the film festival states that the Indian film “explores and challenges Indian culture and society in so many ways that have rarely been done on screen”.

‘Margarita With A Straw’, is a story of a young girl with Cerebral Palsy, who discovers her sexuality.
