“I still don’t know how the industry works. I am still a newcomer on sets but at least now I have an idea of what I have to and what I should do” says Kriti Sanon.
“Heropanti” debutant Kriti Sanon might be Sajid Nadiadwala’s protégé and one of Shah Rukh Khan’s co-stars in Rohit Shetty’s ensemble entertainer Dilwale, and self confessed new comer, but she is making all the right choices and not in hurry to sign as many films as she can!
“A lot of people sign their second projects in a hurry and regret it later. I was always very sure that I wanted to do a good film, which would be a notch higher than my debut film. Dilwale is the perfect opportunity and I am glad I waited for it” says Kriti.
Currently bursting top charts with her latest music video, Chal Wahaan Jaate hai” featuring Kriti and Tiger, in Arijit Singh’s music video. So how does it feel to connect with her debut co-star after such a long gap?
“It was very nostalgic. We share a special bond! We understand each other and feel for each other. It almost felt like shooting a song in Heropanti 2” says Kriti.
Kriti Sanon was a model before she turned actress and she made her south acting debut long before her Bollywood debut.
She made her acting debut with Sukumar's Telugu psychological thriller film “1: Nenokkadine” and then came her Bollywood debut with Sabbir Khan's romantic action drama Heropanti, for which she won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. So does it feel to enjoy stardom?
“I really don’t think I have reached a stage where I can actually call it stardom. I am just one film old and I don’t think that so many people would know me. There’s absolutely nothing that I have offered to them yet. One film is definitely not enough to show what you can do” quips Kriti.
Her upcoming Dilwale will hit theaters on 18th December.
