
Bollywood and South Indian Film Fraternity mourn the sad demise of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, who passed away on Monday night, December 5 in Chennai.
Jayalalithaa suffered a massive cardiac arrest and after battling it for some time, she took her last breath yesterday in Chennai. The strong lady was revered by many in Tamil Nadu and tributes began to pour in as soon as the news of her demise broke.
Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan took to Twitter to express his grief. He wrote, “T 2463 - Deeply grieved at the passing of Jayalalita ji...A strong woman...”
King Khan aka Shah Rukh Khan alos expressed his grief, he posted, "Sad to hear the passing away of Jayalalithaaji... May her soul rest in peace"

Known for good deeds, Jayalalithaa was called Amma. The south India superstar Dhanush, took to his Twitter handles to offer his condolences.

Jayalalithaa Jayaraman was an Indian actor and politician who served five terms as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, for over fourteen years between 1991 and 2016.
She was a leading actress before her entry into politics and appeared in 140 films from 1961 to 1980 primarily in the Tamil, Telugu and Kannada industry.
