Verdict : A film without a story, purpose of bankable characters
The multi starrer Race 3 is a film without a purpose, a story or bankable characters. Remo D'Souza directorial has managed to take apart Abbas-Mustan's hard work and what little fame and fans the previous Race installments have sustained over the years.
The film starts with a 20 minute long very slow introduction to every character and their traits, that leaves little to no space for surprise or thrill. The film resembles Salman's old stories basic plotline which focuses on emphasizing that the family bond is important than anything else. But Race 3 barely justifies the plot since the villain is a family member itself.
With very predictable twists and turns, the only convincing character is Anil Kapoor who stays in his role from the start to end. With dialogues like "Our business is our business, none of your business", "Sad, very sad.", "I understand Bro," and "Seriously, Bro," the film fails to catch any attention and keep the audience engaged.
There is also an intentional change in dialogue dialect to "Bhojpuri" which leaves viewers confused and influences humor unintentionally. Even in the last 10 minutes, the film is trying hard to surprise the audience and introduce the idea of Race 4. Where Salman almost confirms he will not be part of the next installment.
Salman Khan's Race 3 starts a family drama that attempts to become a thriller and action-packed film and ends with the actors regretting being part of it.
