Verdict : Voodoo Magic: A black secret behind shot lived success!

Success is a very short-lived word in Bollywood. It’s not easy to give up things easily. Jealousy, Hatred, Love for self and certain other things are good when it’s bounded by limitations but when one steps out their limits the world turns black. In that darkness a power takes birth. Voodoo Magic for good when it’s done for a good cause but it’s a devil when you try to misuse your powers. Raaz 3 is a movie that thrills you with Voodoo Magic. After watching Raaz 3 it’s sure to believe that voodoo seems to be blessings at the beginning and later turns a curse. Vikram Bhatts horror film Raaz 3 is the third movie in Raaz series and much better than the other two series. With respect to its story plot the direction and the some bold scenes fantastically performed by Bipasha and Esha.

Interestingly, the movie is set up between the two beautiful female leads. Bipasha who plays a “Shanaya” a successful Bollywood star. She is Diva who enjoys a success and passionate affair with a film director Aditya played by Emraan Hashmi. As any other film she was looked normal, elegant and patterned attitude. Everything was light till then but the twist in the tale take place when a newcomer Sanjana played by Esha steps in her success shoes.  Not only restricted to success Esha also grabs Aditya’s attention and take Shanaya’s space in Aditya’s life. That’s where Shanaya develops Jealousy and Hatred towards Sanjana. To save her career and love life, Shanaya turns to black magic. The black world that would give her power to get back her love and stardom. Will Shanaya make it or give up ending her life. To know more and experience the Thrills of Voodoo magic hit the theatres for sure!

Vikram Bhatt’s works are spell bound at some places but some scenes are just meant to say “Yak”. Thousands of flying cockroaches...there are better things to scare a person. The Aatma Parmatma style of superstitions is totally filmy and sounds no treat. It’s rather funny than scary. But then the magic and Bipasha’s plans gives you hooooh goose bumps. Shagufta Rafique’s story plot is scary and pretty interesting @ the first part. Some dialogues that can’t skip of my mind still “Ek raaz tumhare andar bhi hai...ek raaz mere andar bhi hai jo tumhe kahin ka nahi chodega”. But I don’t know what the hell goes wrong with the second half. It’s rather stupid instead scary. The evil games are funny and you actually feel to hit the popcorn counters. They way the first half excites you with glamorous Bipasha and her bang on back spirit where is not willing to give up easily. The second half is just a big flaw when it comes to play Esha’s part. Esha Gupta is looking gorgeous...but she has to really work hard on her dancing skills. In darkness lies the truth! the thrill and excitement gets back in track. And finally you end up having a horror treat. Well this was Vikram Bhatt but the real treat was Bipasha and her flawless performance. Her never give up sprit, her looks, her act you can’t skip your eyes from her. Secondly to match the level raised high up by Bipasha Esha was amazing in her nobody double bold scenes. Apart from black world the love quotient was filled by Emraan. The lover boy was too good in supportive scenes and his romance steak. It was amazing to watch them sharing the same space on screen. Apart from the three Jacqueline Fernandez played cameo.

Coming down to music the title song Kya yeh Raaz hai is sung by Shreya Ghoshal and Zubeen Garg and the music is composed by Jeet Ganguly. Rafta Rafta by KK, Oh My Love by Sonu n Shreya and other track were pretty good. But I feel somewhere the songs tried killing the excitement of the suspense of the story.

My verdict

Raaz 3 is a story one would like to watch when a person feels to know what voodoo magic is all about. It also comes with a beautiful message that success is short lived in this industry and it’s a fact! Dreams, Jealousy, Hatred, Happiness and Selfishness are life’s feeling part which should be within certain limits. When one crosses their limit it’s certainly a sign of big disaster coming their way. Raaz3 is of course exciting but not 100% true its 30-40% frictional and unbelievable. Ignoring the 30 – 40% part the rest is good and one time watchable, is worth!  One gets to know voodoo magic and its effect, enjoy Bipasha’s performance and spend some worth time supernatural visual powers. The movie sounds good to me hence, I rate it a 3 star.

Raaz 3 is an upcoming Bollywood reotic horror thriller film directed by Vikram Bhatt, and produced by mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt. The film is a sequel to Taaz - The Myestry Continues (2009), which itself was a sequel to Raaz (2002), and features Emraan Hashmi reprising his role from the second film, and with a new addition to the cast,Esha Gupta. Bipasha Basu, who was a part of the first film of the Raaz series, has made a comeback to the series after opting out of the second film.Jacqueline Fernandez makes a special appearance in the film. Currently in the post-production stages, the film was released on September 7, 2012.
