Movie Review

Rating :

The constitutional failure and suffering of fellow Indian’s in the state of Jammu and Kashmir is well documented and pretty much in public eyes, but never before a filmmaker went out and made a massive movie about it. Director Rakesh Sawant adds a romantic tadka to the grim situation in Jammu and Kashmir and addresses the real adverse effects of Article 370 in his directorial.

A powerful subject laced with some of biggest names in entertainment industry, such as Manoj Joshi, Raj Zutshi, Anita Raj, Mohan Kapoor, Sujata Mehta, Anjali Pandey, Tanvi Tondon, Rakhi Sawant, Hiten Tejwani, Zarina Wahab and Pankaj Dheer, brings home a sensitive drama which is a worth-full watch!

The sheer scale, subject-wise, is massive of this film, which is truthful to its core and objective. Laced with facts and real-life incidents, the subtle portrayals of the horrors that corrode the country from within, is an impressive feast to watch.
Mudda 370 J&K is an uncomfortable watch and makes you squirm when it shows you the communal discrimination in the country. It doesn’t just address the institutionalised Islamophobia in India, but address the root-cause and also highlights the plight of Hindu’s and other religion in Jammu and Kashmir.

Mudda 370 J&K chronicles the gruesome devastation which has been taking place since last seven decades in Jammu and Kashmir. In a world of cinema, where chest-thumping and nauseating patriotism is celebrated, especially in movies about Jammu and Kashmir, but this one about people, who are actually facing the hardship!

The film is wrapped around a love story of a Kashmiri Pandit boy and a Kashmiri Muslim girl; so that the audience can digest the bitter pill of communal divided, violence, terrorism and systematic failure in Jammu and Kashmir.
Despite having big names like Asha Bhosle, Shaan, Palak Muchhal, Asees Kaur, Shahid Mallya and Mudasar Ali, the music of the film is not worth its salt.

The only song which is crooned by legend Asha Bhosle, featuring Rakhi Sawant, is refreshing and worthwhile. The song is beautifully shot, encapsulating the breathtaking beauty of the snowy valleys.
The film is produced by Avani Kamal, Dr Atul Krishna and Bhanwar Singh Pundeer under Subharti Media Ltd. in collaboration with Jayas Films.
