Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! is a Bollywood family film directed by Sooraj Barjatya, and produced by Rajshri Productions also known as HAHK . It is a remake of Rajshris earlier movie Nadiya Ke Paar (1982). The film is a story of two Indian families and the relationships between them, celebrating Indian culture using modern production values. Its soundtrack was scored by Raamlaxman. Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! stars Madhuri Dixit and Salman Khan.

It was dubbed into Telugu as Premalayam. Madhuri Dixit won the Filmfare Award for Best Actress.Earning over 135 crore (US$26.93 million) worldwide, the film became the biggest Bollywood hit of the year,as well as one of the biggest Bollywood hits ever. During the 1995 awards season, the film won 5 Filmfare Awards and also won the National Award for being the most popular film of the year.

By earning over 135 crore (US$26.93 million) worldwide, Hum Aapke Hain Kaun broke the record of Sholay. Hum Aapke Hain Kaun became the highest grossing Bollywood Film after its theatrical run and held the record for 7 years till the release of Gadar: Ek Prem Katha.In the Millenium Edition of the "Guinness Book of World Records" Hum Aapke Hain Kaun listed as the Bollywoods highest grossing film.
