Verdict : Rowdy Rathod perfect masala mix.

From Chinta Ta Ta Chita Chita to on road Riskshaw publicity Akshay and Sonakshi has been grooving their body on every item number from their movie. Qualitative promotions and red hot item numbers had already made it large. Let’s peep deep into it and see what the film has to offer.

A film directed by Prabhu Deva and produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Ronnie Screwvala cast Akshay in a double role. IPS Vikram Singh Rathore/ Shiva is a petty thief and get the thrill out of duping people. Playing a twisted role of Shiva and Vikram, the Rowdy Rathod falls head over heels in love with Priya (Sonakshi Sinha), a pretty girl, whom he met at a wedding in which he wasnt invited. Things work smoothly until, a shocking twist in the tale. ‘A six-year-old Neha enters into the picture and claims that Rowdy is her father.’ Rowdy goes hard to find out the mystery behind the little girls claim. While sorting out the messy situation he falls in prey of Gangsters. He later finds himself the only savior of small town (Bihar) from, the clutches of a cruel corrupt politician. How Rowdy then fights a war against a heap of villains being one man army is the rest part of the story.

Does it sound heard before. Yes of course, once again from the kit of Prabhu Deva Rowdy Rathord is a reflection of the Telegu Films “VIKRAMARKUDU". Hope the film has something new to offer you rather than Tollywood colors, Akshay’s over the top action and spicy item numbers. You got to find out stepping into the theaters!

Prabhu Dev has come up with real flavors of Tollywood. He has made a perfect masala mix. Akshay plays a double role and portrays his various shades. He is perfect in his action, romance and comic skills. He slips into the skin of his character. His one liner ‘don’t angry me’, is already on every one’s lips.  Sonakshi is absolutely perfect and best fit in her bubbly role. She is Lovable, Charming, yet impish character.  Especially, the Desi girl image suits her impeccably. She looks amazing in Desi avatars. Red hot avatar compared to Kareena is absolutely accomplishable. Not at all size zero but, Sonakshi is nevertheless a natural beauty.  Neha playing Akshay’s daughter is really cute and had portrayed her part well. Other characters like Paresh Ganatra, Yashpal Sharma, Gurdeep Kohli adds color to their respective episodes. 

As far as the soundtracks are concerned, each sound track is catchy and peppy. Right from Chinta ta ta_ to ‘Dhadang Dhang Dhang is item mix. Sonakshi Sinhas red sari act on the number Chammak Challo Chail Chabeeli, draws an attention and a way comparison to Kareena’s Chammak Challo from Ra One. The presence of leading actors Vijay, Kareena Kapoor and Prabhu Deva himself gives it an edge, to the song Chinta Ta Ta.  Dhadang Dhang Dhang and Aa Re Pritam Pyaare are lively. The tracks are full of zest. Tracks are pick of the lot and stays in the top chartbuster list. So it’s a full mark for musicians of the film.

My verdict.

Rowdy Rathod is a perfect masala mix. It is just to see, enjoy and forget it. Trying to find out sense in it is a far away question. The film will still remain all time high due to Fun, masala and Akki’s comedy. Rowdy Rathore has the potential to set the cash registers ringing. It is total paisa wasool.  It will keep you engaged throughout. Not a bad thought for this weekend.
