Renowned choreographer Pony Verma has revealed the secret to her successful collaborations with actress Vidya Balan, stating that any song they work on together is destined to become a hit. Verma attributes this success to the trust and faith Balan has in her, even when pushed beyond her comfort zone.
Verma recalled their work on the iconic songs "Oh La La" and “Ami Je Tomar”, where she was a strict teacher to Balan. She said, “The secret between me and Vidya Balan, I am the lucky mascot choreographer, whichever song she does with me, it becomes a hit, and I think we both know it very well. I think I have been a strict teacher to her on Bhool Bhulaiyaa, the Oh La La song we did while having song, she had faith in me, because the kind of costume I bought it for the song, despite not being comfortable, she did the song, because she has the trust in me. I was strict with her, but all the hard work is justified when the song is a hit, and did forgive me for pushing her. She had swollen knees and ankles, and I told her whether this song works or not, but no one should make fun of it, that was the objective. Hopefully we will do the triple magic very soon.”
The choreographer expressed her hope to recreate their "triple magic" soon, hinting at future collaborations with Balan, probably in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.
Talking about her upcoming projects, Pony said, “I am doing two Telugu films as of now, next moth I start shooting with DJ Tillu actor Sidhu”
Recently, Pony choreographed the massive hit song Bhairava Anthem from Kalki 2898 AD, featuring Prabhas and Diljit Dosanjh.
