Magnolia Pictures has dropped the trailer for the upcoming action-comedy film "Thelma," which stars veteran Oscar nominee June Squibb in her first leading role. The film also features the final performance of the trailblazing actor Richard Roundtree.
 
In "Thelma," Squibb portrays the titular character, a feisty 93-year-old grandmother who falls victim to a phone scammer pretending to be her grandson (Fred Hechinger). Determined to reclaim what was taken from her, Thelma embarks on a daring adventure across Los Angeles, accompanied by an aging friend (Roundtree) and his motorized scooter.
 
Directed by Josh Margolin in his feature directorial debut, "Thelma" promises a poignant yet humorous look at aging, friendship, and resilience. Squibb's portrayal of the spirited Thelma, coupled with Roundtree's final performance, is expected to deliver a touching and memorable cinematic experience.
