Actress Katrina Kaif, who will be seen sharing screen space with veteran Vijay Sethupathi in Merry Christmas, said she was fascinated with the way he envisioned the scene. 
 
Katrina Kaif along with Sriram Raghavan, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanjay Kapoor, Ramesh Taurani, Varun Grover and more, was interacting with the media during the promotional press-meet of Merry Christmas. 
 
When asked about working with veteran Vijay Sethupathi on the such an intimate movie, Katrina Kaif said, “First interaction with Vijay was fascinating for me, the very first time I heard Vijay describe a scene, I instantly realized he is person who sees things in such a unique way that I can never see a scene in that way, for me that was really exciting, to come together with people who see things differently and work with them.” 
 
Katrina Kaif has been part of mega-scale movies such as the Tiger franchise with Salman Khan, and now a small-scale intimate thriller, Merry Christmas. 
 
When asked about being part of small scale and mega scale movies, Katrina Kaif said, “As an actor you are looking to tell the story and be part of the story, which is interesting, and for me, Merry Christmas ticked all those boxes. It was a unique journey, a story about two fascinating characters and the minute I heard it, I was hooked.” 
 
“Ofcourse, there are high-octane big action-drama films, and that is wonderful, that’s a certain kind of cinema. But there are more intimate and unique stories to be told and those stories need to be told at a scale that is suitable for that particular story. And I think for an actor, to be able to do both, this is what we are supposed to do as an actor. I personally enjoy doing both, for me this has always been a Sriram Raghavan film, which has a fantastic story, and I was excited to be a part of the journey” added Katrina. 
 
Merry Christmas is directed by Sriram Raghavan. Filmed simultaneously in Hindi and Tamil, the film stars Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi in lead roles, slated for 12th Jan 2024 release.
